This is Montone's answer to Salone del Gusto. Festa del Bosco is festival of the woods: aka autumn harvest. We're talking truffles, porcini, newly pressed olive oils, chestnuts, walnuts, pecorino cheeses, etc, etc, etc. On a smaller scale, but much more local. We're talkin' Umbrian! Our tavernas are up and running, the fires are raging, the smells of roasting pork, lamb, and cinghiale fill our nostrils, and our quiet hilltop borgo comes alive with all sorts of pagan pleasures. Our Etruscan ancestors would be proud! Come vist Montone this weekend. You won't be bored I assure you!
